Pixie Hoops are professional quality hand crafted Fitness Hoops made in Vancouver BC, we have been perfecting the Travel Hoop design for over 10 years and it shows. This effective design allows the hoop to fold down into 4 equal sections and easy “pops” back together with state of the art shock cord inside the hoop.

The hoops are slightly weighted and have been proven as an amazing weight loss and fitness tool – very different then the child toy hoop that many have tried. Hoopdancing can become addicting with all the fun and easy moves that gets the body rocking for hours of fun fitness. Dancers, yogis, traveling gypsy’s and many light spirited “pixies” of all ages have found the hoop to be a tool of mediation, release, toning and more.

Where are they made?

The Pixies work in “The Sparkle Tunnel” a small workshop space in Yaletown, downtown Vancouver BC Canada. It’s packed with inspiring art, sparkle tape, glitter, fairy costumes, a boom box and 100′s of hoops all being custom made for every order. Each and every hoop is made by the loving hands of many Pixies. The materials are all sourced locally and are the best quality we can get our hands on.

Why is Handmade important?

For us it is important to keep our community buzzing as close to home as possible. We pay fair wages to the Amazing Hoop Crafting Masters and support their Hoop Dreams in every way we can. It does not seem quite right to travel to the far east to have the hoops of plastic mass produced in factories and shipped back to us only to be the middle people in the transaction. Our hoops are sacred to us, we want you to have the best of the best, we want our hands all over that glitter before it arrives on your doorstep! We are committed to keeping the local arts scene alive and strive at every turn to make choices that only support that cause more deeply.

Why did we write this post?

Well – its the blisters talking really! It has become so shocking and obvious to everyone in The Sparkle Tunnel that making beautiful glittered travel hoops for pixies all over the world is Hard Work. We have the blisters and scars to prove it… sounds like torture right? Its not, but anyone that has ever shared a weekend of taping hoops will understand that first you tape your fingers – next you take on the hoops. We love the creation process and will continue to rock out in The Sparkle Tunnel and your new hoops will arrive like wishes come true.

The Youth Arts Show is the cornerstone of the Limelight Arts Experience. The show is a showcase of youth talent in a variety of diverse artistic streams. We have room for 50 artists ages 12 to 24!

This year’s theme is Activism Through Art, so be prepared to dress for the theme and any artwork suitable is encouraged.

After only 8 weeks of hooping, Randie blew us away. Great costume, gorgeous setting and so much joy inside the hoop! We love, love, loved your video! We are thrilled that the Pixie Hoops Facebook community is growing and thriving, with tons of great content, photos and hooping music getting posted daily!
